The EU Championship will be held at Nordstan Shopping Centre in Göthenburg, Sweden, on Saturday, May 6. Fans can watch the event live in-person beginning at 11 a.m. CET, as the best NHL 23 European gamers compete for their share of the $25,000 USD cash prize pool. The competition will also be streamed on Twitch beginning at 7 p.m. CET / 1 p.m. ET.
The Championship will be a best-of-one round robin tournament among all four players. The first-place finisher of the round robin will advance to the final round European Championship. The second- and third-place finishers in the round robin will play a best-of-three series, the winner of which will advance to the final round. The round robin will be ranked by overall record (1st) and then head-to-head record (2nd). The final two players will play one another in a best-of-three series with the winner declared the European Champion. All games will be played on the PS5 console.
